'An African Dance Experience' is an easy to follow dance educational pack which allows teachers and pupils to learn African dancing in a fun filled and creative environment. The dances are suitable for all ages form 1 year onwards.

 

 

The Video: The Video included in the pack introduces 2 traditional African dances performed by African dancer, Thabani Nyoni. The dances are both performed in full with 2 classes from the Royal Latin School in Buckinghamshire. They are then broken down into easy to follow steps so you can join in and copy the dance moves as you watch the video!

The Music (CD): There is no need to find accompanying music yourself, as the original rhythms on the CD included with the pack have an infectious tribal African groove which is guaranteed to enthuse your group! The music, played by percussionist Si Wharry, will have you stamping your feet in time with the beat!

The Dance Leaflet: Once you have learnt the dances from the video, this illustrated leaflet is a helpful and fun reminder of all the key moves from the video. The illustrations, drawn by illustrator Helen Christy, can be refered to long after you've finished watching the video. All the moves are put together clearly, as a guide for you to learn the moves with or without the aid of the video!
